Erica - Office Manager

Erica is the dedicated and passionate office manager at Premier Dentistry in Gresham, Oregon, where she has made a lasting impact over the past 12 years. Born and raised in Oregon, Erica’s journey into the dental field has been one of growth and discovery. Though she never initially envisioned herself as an office manager, Erica’s degree in Business Management provided a strong foundation that led her to the role.

Erica came to Premier Dentistry at a young age with no prior dental experience, seeking a career where she could grow and build a lasting impact. Despite several attempts to move away from Oregon, the dynamic and supportive work environment at Premier Dentistry has kept her rooted in the area, where she is proud to contribute to the success of the practice.

What Erica cherishes most about her position is the strong culture and foundation of the office, which emphasizes patient care and a collaborative team environment. She enjoys working closely with the doctors and her colleagues to foster a culture of excellence and compassion.

A key part of Erica’s role is working directly with patients, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. She takes great pride in listening to their stories, understanding their needs, and being a part of their dental transformations. Erica finds immense fulfillment in witnessing the before and after changes, knowing that her contributions have helped patients achieve not only their smile goals but also enhanced confidence.

Outside of the office, Erica enjoys working out, traveling, wine tasting, and her quest to visit all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums (Go Yankees!)

Christine - Insurance Coordinator

As our Insurance Coordinator, Christine is the go-to expert for all things insurance. With over two years of experience in the dental field, Christine brings both patient care and administrative support to her role. She has a background in front desk work and top-tier customer service from her time at Nordstrom—she’s all about making sure our patients feel supported and understood when it comes to their coverage ensuring a smooth, stress-free experience at our office.

Her diverse experience allows her to handle each patient interaction with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail. She thrives on helping people and loves turning what can be a confusing process into something smooth and stress-free (yes, it’s possible!). Her warm personality and eye for detail make her a perfect fit for our team.

Outside of work, Christine stays busy as a proud soccer mom to her kiddos, Abby and Theo. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, kids, and their beloved pups, as well as baking and tackling new DIY home projects.

Ashleigh - Financial Coordinator

Ashleigh serves as the Financial Coordinator at the office, helping patients navigate their treatment plans and insurance with clarity and confidence. Before entering the dental field, she spent several years as a competitive gymnastics coach, where she developed a strong passion for working closely with people and supporting them in reaching their goals.

She loves being part of a team that helps patients achieve the smile they’ve always wanted. Whether it’s answering financial questions or guiding someone through their next steps in treatment, she’s there to make the process as smooth as possible.

Outside of the office, she’s usually found in the kitchen cooking up something new, exploring local restaurants and wineries with her husband, or chasing the sunshine on a Caribbean beach!

Makaila - Scheduling Coordinator

Makaila has been part of the dental world since 2006, starting as a dental assistant, learning all things implant and cosmetic dentistry and even teaching future assistants along the way. These days, she’s our Scheduling Coordinator, but she still loves helping out chairside whenever she can. She’s passionate about patient care and believes a healthy smile can truly change a life. When she’s not at the office, you’ll likely find her traveling, out on the boat with her family, or spending quality time with her awesome kids.

Sophie - Scheduling Coordinator

Sophie is often the first warm smile patients see when they walk into the office. With a background in customer service and a natural talent for helping people feel at ease, she brings a calm, friendly energy to the front desk. Sophie is passionate about creating a welcoming environment and making every visit a positive experience—for both patients and the team.

Outside of work, Sophie enjoys cooking, hiking, discovering new local restaurants, and exploring the beautiful state she calls home—always on the lookout for her next favorite spot to share with friends and family.

Aimee - RDH

As a dedicated dental hygienist, she is passionate about providing care to patients of all ages. Whether it’s a child’s first cleaning or routine maintenance for adults and seniors, she strives to create a welcoming and comfortable experience for everyone. Easing dental anxiety is one of her top priorities, and she takes pride in building trust and helping patients feel at ease in the dental chair. Dental anxiety is so common, and she strives to do what she can to ease that fear.

She believes in the power of preventive care and loves educating patients on how to maintain healthy smiles between visits. Seeing the positive impact of good oral health on overall well-being is what keeps her inspired every day. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Sean, and their two sweet girls, Parker and Weslee. They prioritize family vacations and cheering their girls on in their sports. She loves to exercise, and they’re big sports fans—the Blazers and the Green Bay Packers… and sometimes Sean’s 49ers ;)

Kelly - RDH

Kelly RDH, BSDH, EPP is Premier Dentistry’s longest standing employee and hygienist since 2008. She was born and raised in Corbett, Oregon.  Kelly graduated top of her dental hygiene classes from Lane CC in Eugene as well as summa cum laude from OIT. She utilizes her passion for people to building trust through compassionate dentistry. In addition, the memory of her late father helps her educate patients about the risks of oral cancer and oral disease. 

Kelly and her family reside in Happy Valley and love to enjoy time together building memories. As a fighter wife, Kelly juggles the care of her kiddos Quinn and Oliver while committing to the devoted patients of Premier Dentistry. Fun Fact- Her favorite season is fall when she can spend weekends watching football.

Jody - RDH

My name is Jody, and I have been a practicing Dental Hygienist since 2006. I am a proud graduate of The City University of New York, College of Technology. My passion for dentistry began in childhood, and over the years it has only grown stronger. I take great pride in serving my community and helping patients achieve healthier, brighter smiles and overall well-being.

Outside of my career, my greatest joy is spending time with my son, Wilks, along with our three beloved furry companions. Together, we love to explore the outdoors. Camping, hiking, kayaking, spending a day at the beach, or simply watching the sunset by the lake. I also enjoy healthy cooking, staying active, and cherishing meaningful connections with family and friends.

Jen - RDH

Jen attended Mt. Hood Community College for dental hygiene and graduated in 2010. Prior to joining Premier Dentistry, she worked in general dentistry and spent 8 years in periodontal specialty. She is passionate about educating patients on all things periodontal disease and its role in a person’s whole-body health. Her favorite role is building patients’ trust and easing their dental anxiety so they can confidently call the practice their dental home. When she is away from the office, she is a mom to her daughter (Johanna) and Australian Shepherd dog (Huckleberry). Most days, you will find her husband (Kyle) and her playing with them at home. Her happy place is spending time in the mountains or kayaking on a lake.

Nikki - RDH

For nearly 15 years, Nikki has been more than a dental hygienist—she’s been a trusted partner in her patients’ health journeys. At Premier Dentistry, she brings not just skill and precision, but a calming presence that turns routine cleanings into moments of care and connection. Nikki believes that great dentistry starts with listening, and she’s passionate about making every patient feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for.

Her approach goes beyond cleanings and checkups; Nikki believes that great dental care starts with genuine connection. She’s passionate about empowering patients with knowledge, easing dental anxieties, and celebrating the small wins that lead to healthier, happier lives.

Outside the office, Nikki cherishes time with her family and friends. She enjoys cooking, soaking up sunny days, and spending time at the beach. Whether she’s under bright dental lights or golden sunsets, Nikki brings heart, humor, and positivity wherever she goes.

Courtney - EFDA

Courtney is a EFDA assistant since 2013 with a license in restorative function in 2019. Courtney began her career at Premier in 2021 and has enjoyed working along side Dr. Shim and Dr. Pak. She has worked extensive implant cases to cosmetic bonding to Invisalign and loves the variety Premier brings to the dental field.

Outside of work you’ll find Courtney spending time with her husband and chasing around her 3 kids.

Madelyn - EFDA

Madelyn has been a dental assistant with Premier Dentistry since 2022 and is grateful to her office for all the skills and knowledge she has gained along the way. She believes a smile and a little laughter can brighten any appointment. When she’s not at work, her two golden retrievers keep life lively and remind her that sometimes the best medicine is a wagging tail!

Renata - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Renata started with Premier Dentistry in 2023 as our sterile tech and quietly grew into a strong member of our team after graduating from Carrington Dental Assisting School. She has taken the opportunity to grow and learn from our dentists and team with a strong passion to help others. Renata relocated about 8 years ago from Moldova to the United States and is fluent in speaking 3 languages: Russian, Romanian and English!

Kayla - Sterile Tech

Kayla was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She moved to Portland three years ago for college and a fresh start. In her spare time, she is a very artsy person—she loves drawing, scrapbooking, and painting. She enjoys exploring nature through hikes, trying out new restaurants, and spending quality time with her partner. She is also a huge animal lover!

She is new to the dental field and excited to continue to grow and contribute to the excellent care the office provides. As a sterile technician, she plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff. Her primary responsibility is to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control by properly sterilizing instruments, equipment, and treatment areas. She takes pride in knowing that her work helps prevent cross-contamination and supports a safe, hygienic environment where quality dental care can be delivered confidently. Behind every successful dental procedure is a commitment to safety, and that’s where she comes in.
