Dr. Kevin Shim
DDS
Dr. Shim grew up in Santa Rosa, California and has lived in the Portland area for over a decade. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Pacific Union College and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University. He opened the doors to Premier Dentistry in 2005 and gathered a team just as competent, passionate, and caring as himself. His goal was to create a practice that covers all oral care needs. Premier Dentistry was built and equipped for general dentistry, oral surgery, implants, endo, full mouth reconstruction, dentures, all specialties are covered. Dr. Shim’s vision for Premier Dentistry is to get patients’ mouths healthy and leave them with bright smiles.
Dr. Kevin Shim is a believer in personalized care. He listens to what patients have set as their smile goals and balances it with what they need for their oral health. He also emphasizes on educating patients on their treatment and at-home-care.
Dr. Shim also extensively attends continuing education courses. It not only improves his skills but keeps him current, engaged, and excited about dentistry. He feels very blessed to be practicing in the information age, where new techniques and materials are quickly evolving and improving. He loves technology, and he tries to incorporate as much as possible into his practice for a better patient experience.

Dr. Jodi Pak
DDS
Dr. Pak is a general dentist who joined Premier Dentistry in 2020. She is so grateful to be part of the team that works cohesively together to help patients attain their optimal overall health.
Since graduating from Loma Linda School of Dentistry in 2001, she practiced dentistry in Pasadena, California before moving to Oregon in 2008. She believes in the integrated, multidisciplinary treatment plan that incorporates facial rejuvenation modalities into aesthetic and comprehensive dental treatment. Throughout her career Dr. Pak has always prioritized giving back and improving the lives of those in our community by regularly volunteering her time at free clinics in the greater Portland area.
She lives in Happy Valley with her husband and three children. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, gaming and outdoor activities.

Office Manager
I enjoy meeting our wonderful patients and their families. I know going to the dentist can be stressful for some people and I’m here to make it as easy as possible. It’s my pleasure to answer questions, help with paperwork, and review financials. At Premier Dentistry, we believe everyone deserves a healthy smile that makes them happy; I’m glad to be part of making those smiles happen!
My weekends are spent watching sports and rooting for the New York Yankees and the Oregon State Beavers! In my free time, I enjoy traveling any chance I get, skiing, fishing, cooking, chasing sunsets, and spending time with friends!

I have wanted to be a Dental Hygienist since I was 10 years old and still feel like I am working my dream job. I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Applied Science degree as a Registered Dental Hygienist from Pacific University in 2012. I love serving the wonderful people in the Gresham area. Getting to know my patients and helping them achieve their oral health goals is my favorite part of my job.
I am married to my favorite person, Sean and we have two fun little girls- Parker June and Weslee Monroe. We are very involved with our local church and are a family that loves tropical vacations, spending time outside with our dog, Winnie and we love sports- Go Blazers, Go Beavers and Aimee’s Green Bay Packers.

I have been practicing Dental Hygiene since 2006. I graduated from The City University of New York College of Technology. I have had an affinity for dentistry ever since I was a little girl. I enjoy being of service to our community and helping people live healthier lives.
Outside of work, I really enjoy being with my most favorite person in the world. My son, Wilks, and our two furry pals, Clyde and Gunner. We enjoy adventuring and being in nature. We like to camp, hike, kayak, spend time at the beach or just sit at the lake and watch the sunset. I enjoy healthy cooking, working out, and connecting with those closest to me.

I graduated in 2010 from Mt. Hood Community College Dental Hygiene program. My favorite part of dental hygiene is helping patients overcome their dental anxiety. I strive to make every patient feel welcome, build their trust and achieve their oral health goals. I joined Premier Dentistry in 2021 and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this team and the wonderful patients we serve!
Most of my free time is spent with my husband, Kyle and daughter, Johanna. As a family, we love camping, summer BBQs, kayaking the lakes on Mt. Hood, going to church, and playing with our loyal australian shepherd, Millie Dog.

Hi, my name is Nikki. I am a loving wife and mother and have had the honor and pleasure of serving my community as a dental hygienist for over 10 years. My journey into the dental field began as a dental assistant before furthering my education to become a dental hygienist. At Premier Dentistry, I always look forward to catching up with patients about dental hygiene and helping them achieve and maintain healthy smiles.
Outside of work, I love music, amateur competitive eating, backing/cooking, jetpacking, professional shark fighting, vacationing, and having fun with my family.

Registered Dental Hygienist
I’m passionate about oral health and helping my patients develop their healthiest, happiest smile. The memory of my father, former NFL player Dave Stief, inspires me to teach people about the risks of oral cancer. During a patient’s visit, I talk with them about their mouth and how its health affects the rest of their body. I especially like working with our adolescent and special-needs patients, providing a positive dental experience, and helping others overcome dental anxiety.
My husband Craig works for the Clackamas Fire Department to serve our community. We are blessed with our daughter Quinn and son Oliver. I enjoy quality time with family and friends, especially while cheering on the Oregon Ducks and Arizona Cardinals.

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Bring a dental assistant for 8+ years, you get to work with so many people with different desired goals and being a part of that process is so rewarding. I graduated in 2013 as a Dental Assistant and furthered my education in 2019 in Restorative Functions. Being a part of the team at Premier Dentistry has been the best part of my career.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my daughter Paisley. I also enjoy wine tasting, vacationing anywhere hot, and camping in the summer.

I’ve always been interested in the dental field for as long as I can remember. I’ve been so lucky to be a part of Premier Dentistry. From my coworkers to the patients, I’ve felt at home here. Everyday I learn something new about dentistry and one day I hope to grow more into the field.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and my dog. I have a one-year-old golden retriever named Basil! Having a dog is very time consuming, so if I’m not at work, you’ll see Basil with me everywhere!

Insurance Coordinator
Although this is Christine’s first experience in the dental field, she brings an array of knowledge from her medical work at a local memory care facility. Her commitment to verifying and interpreting patient’s dental benefits is strong with a passion to provide patients the best outline of their coverage. Her warm and bubbly personality is shared with each patient interaction as she is getting to know our amazing patients. Christine is detail oriented and strives to provide each person with a timely, insurance benefit breakdown. While at home, Christine loves spending time with friends and family, including her husband Kevin, two children Abby and Theo as well as her two dogs Stella and Claire. She is a true soccer mom and loves cheering on her kids. Christine loves baking and doing DIY projects in her free time!

Scheduling and Financial Coordinator
Ashleigh loves helping others and meeting new people! She uses her 10 years of experience as a competitive gymnastics coach and 3 years in accounting to provide patients with a comprehensive and personal experience. Her smile can light up a room and helps to put our clients at ease. Ashleigh loves taking the extra time to answer questions about treatment plans and financials. Ashleigh grew up in Gresham and loved serving her community. In her personal time, she takes time to travel with her husband Mitch. Ashleigh also enjoys wine tasting and fine dining with friends and family.

Scheduling Coordinator
With over a decade of experience in the dental field, Makaila is a highly skilled dental assistant and trainer with expertise in oral surgery, endodontics, cosmetic, and general dentistry. She’s passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest technologies in dentistry and loves learning about new developments in the field. Makaila utilizes dental knowledge to provide patients with a thorough understanding of their appointments and answer any questions or concerns that may arise. In her free time, Makaila enjoys relaxing with a good book and spending quality time with her two children. She is a Gresham native and enjoys working in the community she was raised in.
